Description
Rider, designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba for Zanotta, is a tilting lounge chair with stiff polyurethane frame with upholstery in graduated polyurethane and covered with cowhide 95 leather. Removable topper made of polyurethane/heatbound polyester fibre, covered with fabric.
Rider is the search for a new archetype, the synthesis of a type of chair usually made of several components and here expressed as a single unit with a rocker motion: balanced between handicrafts and technological sophistication, it has a rigid polyurethane shaped core padded with polyurethane of variable thickness, upholstered completely by hand in natural leather, stitched and formed onto the seat.
The resulting saddle shape is made softer and more welcoming by the quilted cushion with a narrow lozenge pattern secured to the frame with its removable fabric cover.
Rider is an elegant, expansive furnishing accessory which not only outlines a personal space, but also creates a protected area in which the user can luxuriate in comfort.
