Kushi, derived from the Japanese "skewer" is a collection of lamps with round shape and outwardly soft styling. Fluffy, almost organic, pierced from side to side by a thin rod, this unique lighting collection evokes distant memories: a skewer precisely, a marshmallow, a candied apple...
The Kushi Collection of lamps combines two pure and antithetical elements, both in form and in substance. The metal, rigid, cold, rod is blended to the velvety softness of the curves of the blown etched glass diffuser. Coexisting in the same space these two different elements are in a continuous and mutual relationship.
In designing the Kushi range Alberto Saggia & Valerio Sommella managed to create a collection of lamps seemingly very simple, but with a exceptional and strong personality.
