Sylvie Meuffels

Sylvie Meuffels has completed the Design Academy cum laude in 2008, and works ever since as a freelance designer in a variety of fields from product design to food concepts. She has founded up the company Knol, where she works on a wide range of projects, experimenting with food, technology and space.

Meuffels is fascinated by the rituals and traditions around objects and therefore, she is aiming for designs that have potential for everyday use, with an unexpected way of detailing. When designing, she is not only thinking about the product itself but also the experience and the rituals that grow around them. She lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
