Maurizio Castelvetro

Maurizio Castelvetro was born in Cattolica (Rn) and obtained a degree in Architecture at the University of Florence with a thesis on the neo-futurist marine colony in his hometown.

He was amongst the founder members of the musical group “Mickey and the Mouses” in 1980, the multimedia group “Complotto Grafico” (1981), the “Bolidismo” design movement in 1986 and “La Linea Adriatica” in 1993 as well as of the discoteque “The Modern Casinò” (1989).

 He worked with various public structures as well as collaborating with companies such as Fiam, San Patrignano Casa d’Arte, Fiabilandia and Scavolini. His writings and designs have been published in numerous catalogues and magazines, in the anthology “New Italian Design” (Rizzoli, 1987) and in China on “Contemporary Famous Italian design” (Hebei, 1998).

 He took charge of events such as “Design Balneare” (1983), “Architetture balneari del XX secolo” (1989) and “Metropolina” (1993). His professional activity is currently linked to urbanistic and graphic projects and digital technology. His works can be found in the “YCS Design Library” in Japan.
