Claudio Bitetti

Claudio Bitetti

Born in Aosta in 1962, Claudio Bitetti graduated in Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture in Milan. He works as a designer collaborating with companies such as Alivar, Ciatti a Tavola, Dilmos, EmmeBi, Minottiitalia, Mogg, Movelight, Sturm Und Piastic and as an interior designer in shops and private homes.

His approach to project passes through concepts such as flexibility, dynamism of forms, decomposition to the smallest terms, empowered by an aesthetic idea that aims at the poetical form of the object without diminishing its recognisability and functional effectiveness.

As Elio Franzini, professor of Aesthetics at the State University of Milan wrote, "The forms of Claudio Bitetti, within the projectual (and physical) I-We dialogue, are then symbols; they have an 'open' meaning, an invisible acting through the visible ".

So, in the search for meaning that goes beyond the traditional concept of their use value, Claudio Bitetti outlines, "A repertoire of projects that cross the space of the house , forcing those who live it to exploit the plurality of their senses, to use double-meaning, to elaborate common sense”, as affirmed by Fiaviano Celaschi, professor and vice-dean of the Milan Faculty of Industrial Design.
