Emily is a series of elegant pendant lights by Berlin-based designer Daniel Becker, the range stands out for its graceful design and its fine craftsmanship.

Emily’s shade is handmade of sheet steel and painted in semi-matte, on the lower part there is a diffuser made of frosted plexiglass which provides smooth, uniform illumination. The aesthetics of the lamp emerged as with “Edda” through the examination with manual metal processing methods. A central aspect of the design is to achieve a long life-span and therefore sustainability. The wooden frame is made of solid oak, the shades are metal and the cables are textile. The use of materials that age gracefully underline Emily’s special character.

Emily is available in 5 different configurations, the basic models are the three single pendant lights, the “Emily I”, the “Emily II” and the “Emily III”. They have an attractive asymmetric shape which normally would never stay stable parallel to the ceiling. The secret is that there is a balancing weight inside the lampshade that allows them to be kept in balance.

There are also the two multi-lamp models to choose from, the “Emily Group of Three” and the “Emily Group of Five” each group comes is composed of individual Emily units mounted on a light frame of solid oak.
