Inspired by traditional old crates the designers of Gothamlab, based in Nafplion, Greece, create original and beautiful bicycle baskets, which they call “Gotham Cargo”.

Who said that traditional wooden crates are common, ugly and boring? On the contrary, crates can be a source of inspiration for designing unique and beautiful objects. One of these designs, is Gothamlab bicycle basket, made of wood and beautiful aluminum joints. Preserving the design elements of the traditional wooden crate, the baskets are lightweight, durable and stable. Their minimal design and custom-made construction allows easy fitting to any type of bicycle and they are available in a variety of hip color combinations.

The bookcase’s external structure is in thermo-treated oakwood, while the inner shelves are instead made in MDF and are coated with Ductal® Cement, a high-technology material ensures which the durability of the product for at least 50 years. Among other advantages, thanks to the use of Ductal the bookcase’s color will not change, even when exposed to the sun.

La Corbeille Outlight Table Lamp by Benjamin Faure

Designed by Benjamin Faure for La Corbeille Editions the Outlight Table Lamp is an utterly minimalist light fixture that stands out for its sophisticated simplicity.

Benjamin Faure used a flat piece of material in order to produce a pure object without any surplus. A wooden block is cut so that an archetypal shape of a lamp appears in the middle. Essentially the designer reinterpreted the shape of an archetypal lamp and expressed it using an entirely different medium. The Outlight Table Lamp is made in France and comes in two variations, in oak or in white lacquered MDF.

Designed by Two.Six Designer Cristiana Macedo the YPSY Shelving Unit is freestanding, modern, engaging and accurately singular! It was inspired by the traditional ladder, which was reinterpreted in this incredibly functional piece available in four colors. The YPSY Shelving Unit is made of lacquered moisture resistant MDF, making it ideal for bathroom use, while the clever design has provision for storing folded towels combined with integrated drying racks. Finally there is also an “YPSY” Mini version, a miniature YPSY specially designed for children rooms.

This mesmerizing piece of furniture is combines a modern “Geek-Chic” allure with quality woo crafting most often associated with old school craftsmen. To create this stunning dining table hundreds of interlocking oak cubes are rotated by 45 degrees on two of its axis and planed off the pointy surface. When these cubes are arranged as a surface, they reveal a language of large and small triangles, but as you look around the edge of the cube you see the chunky wooden cubes that create the triangles. The pointed edges of the cubes form a beautiful pattern on the top and a sea of ridges on the table’s underside.
