Sommelier Wine Glasses by Maxim Velcovsky for Qubus

The Sommelier Wine Glasses by designer Maxim Velcovsky combine the subtle and elegant grace of a tall wine glass with the relaxed and rebellious style of a plastic beer cup.

Somewhere between high school, college and career our drinking habits change and along the way the glasses we use reflect this adjustment. Plastic beer cups are being replaced by shot glasses, whiskey glasses and tall wine glasses. The Somelier Wine Glasses were designed by Maxim Velcovsky for Czech design studio Qubus and combine all those different phases of your lives in a stylish and inspired way. Resting on top of a delicate long stem is a cup that resembles a cheap plastic beer cup.

Royal VKB Citrange Citrus Juicer

Imagine a citrus juicer that can be placed directly on the glass, is ideally shaped for both lemons and oranges, filters out seeds and looks simply awesome. Well that’s the Royal VKB Citrange!

Designed by Quentin de Coster for this nice little citrus juicer has a really innovative double-ended design. Its sharp pointy side is suitable for small citrus and limes, while its larger rounded side is suitable for grapefruits, oranges and large citrus. The Citrange citrus juicer sits directly over the cup and directs the flow of juice neatly into the glass without spillage. You save a whole step compared to a traditional juicer. The best part however is the built-in funnel that conveniently filters out seeds.

Revolution Glassware by Felicia Ferrone

Strikingly simple in form, yet impressively elegant, the Revolution Glassware Collection by Fferrone Design seems to defy gravity and visually suspend its contents.

The Revolution Glassware Collection was designed by Chicago-based architect Felicia Ferrone. She designed the collection in 2001 while in Milan and initially the Revolution wine and water glass were licensed to the Italian manufacturer Covo. Revolution was inducted into the permanent design collection of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2009 and was also awarded the prestigious GOOD DESIGN Award in 2004. Essentially this unique concept (which reminds us a lot the Bauhaus approach to design) combines two glasses or bowls into one.
