Mariposa Headboard by Adele-C.

Category: Furniture

Mariposa Headboard by Adele-C

Mariposa by Italian visionary furniture manufacturer Adele-C is a flexible and unique piece of furniture that can be used as a headboard or as a room divider.

The words, refined, ethereal and metaphysical ideally describe Mariposa. Even before defining its function as a headboard, one must think of it as an expression of the metaphysical dimension permeating our dreams. Representing the oneiric is the immaterial ‘raison d’être’. The name Mariposa means Butterfly in Spanish. A suitable name, as the design of this unique object was inspired by the beauty of the shape of butterfly wings, which symbolize the translation into reality of the metaphysical dimension of dreams.

Oups! Lamp by Nathalie Bernollin.

Nathalie Bernollin

The paint bucket-shaped Oups! Lamp by French designer Nathalie Bernollin is characterized by playful design, bold colors and the right dosage of humor.

Oops! Paint spilled out. These funny memories from childhood inspired the designer to create this original and funky design. Bernollin’s father was a talented artist. Therefore, around the house here and there, were placed jars and buckets of colorful paint. Spilling one of those buckets certainly can be a source of creative inspiration. The design reminds of a lot of the Liquid Lamp by Kyouei Design, which is amongst our all time favorite lamp designs.

Lytro Light Field Camera.

Category: Technology

Lytro Camera

The Lytro Light Field Camera is an extremely good-looking digital camera with an incredible and promising technology. Unlike a conventional camera that captures a single plane of light, the Lytro camera captures the entire light field, which is all the light traveling in every direction in every point in space. This result is unbelievably vivid and clear photos that look almost as if they were stereoscopic.

It’s most important innovation is the ability to shoot without focusing. Since you’ll capture the color, intensity, and direction of all the light, you can shoot instantly and focus later. You can refocus anywhere in the pictures, anytime. This means not auto-focus motor and no more waiting on shutter delay. You can capture the moments you experience now, instantly, not the moment later.
